The Orders Chancery
The Chancery of the Royal Orders of Knighthood is located at the Royal Palace in Stockholm, adjacent to the Halls of the Orders. The Chancery processes matters pertaining to the conferral of the Swedish Royal Orders of Knighthood and the Royal Medals. Of those serving at the Royal Orders of Knighthood below, Senior Officers are appointed by the Grand Master – that is, H.M. The King – and Officers are appointed by the Chancellor of the Order.

Responsible for matters pertaining to orders and medals as well as processing submitted nominations for the Royal Orders of Knighthood. Point of contact for the Swedish Armed Forces. Responsible for the website.

Responsible for administration. Point of contact for the Foreign Ministry’s Protocol Department.

Responsible for the archives. Responds to questions from researchers.

Assists the Swedish Royal Orders of Knighthood with legal and historical expertise.
Royal Coats of Arms Painter
Leif Ericsson
Responsible for producing and painting seraphim shields. Assists the Superintendent with arranging and displaying a selection of seraphim shields in the Halls of the Orders as well as arranging the shields displayed in Riddarholmen Church.
Legal Advisor
Jan-Mikael Bexhed
Legal counsel, assists the Swedish Royal Orders of Knighthood with legal expertise and serves as Secretary of the Council of the Orders.
