The Chapter

The Chapter of the Royal Orders of Knighthood is the highest governing body of the Swedish Royal Orders. It convenes once a year, at the end of April, under the auspices of H.M. The King as Grand Master. The most important, and original, duty of the Chancery of the Royal Orders is to assist the Chapter.

Besides the Grand Master, the Chapter of the Royal Orders consists of the Chancellor, the Vice Chancellor and four members appointed by the Grand Master. Matters pertaining to Royal Orders are decided at an extraordinary Chapter of the Orders, and are then presented by the Chancellor, and the Vice Chancellor and Secretary, to the Grand Master.
